The Apostle

Why do you watch me my friend? I am not the first. You walk beside me or behind Do you know not what is first or last? New ideas are said again As monsters sometimes grow As warriors lead disguised as friends Knowledge known as no one knows Why do you step so high little one Have you really heard something new? Is it the first time you were called You follow as you might be seen New ideas are nothing new Its all been said before You walk beside the chosen few Yet stay behind the darkened door Kirabo (Ken Dauth)

Additional Notes:
the idea for this poem came to me while listening to a song from Jesus Christ Superstar. I started wondering what it would be like to be in on a new idea, The first drafts of this poem was from the pint of view of the follower this latest draft is from the point of view of the person who is being followed!
