Darkness

Its as cold as the black in your eyes And as frightful as the never ending feeling of being in a cave, alone When I feel this way I want to look into the white of your eye And be swept away into the blue sea that surrounds them Only to feel the harshness of the cold waves striking me Hurting my soul to the point of taking my breath away Anger should never bring me to my knees Only fear I hurt because I’m sorry, sorry for the words that should not have been spoken Your pain I brought upon you surpasses the emptiness I’ve conveyed upon myself Time will heal this wound Your love will heal my emptiness My apology will heal our souls
