A CASE IN QUESTION...can you solve it first? (can you figure this one out before you get to tthe end ?) She lay dead on the floor tiny bit of paper scattered over and around her body about 6 inches deep The scene looked quite strange To the investigating detectives Quizzing reasons for her death No signs of struggle or defense Her face looked so peaceful As if she'd just gone to sleep Nothing amiss except the pile of bits of paper all around her One investigator leaned down To pick a handful of them up He saw they were written on Each one having a different word Some, depressing, funny, serious Others highly intellectual, refined This was puzzling at the very least All these papers with words inscribed They sent the body to forensics To determine the cause of demise Coroner said he'd only seen One case like this in all his time He found a hole in back of her head With bits of paper still inside It was simple to determine cause All these words had blown her mind. © 5-28-2000 by Donna Saulsman Friedrichs |
