Equidistant

I know I should say something that will hold sway  over this mistrust, and yet I am without  the words that can do what faith can do with doubt.  Language was designed for what we have in mind,  and stands at quite a distance, and far apart,  from anything we have come to know by heart.  We know all too well the familiar hell    that is keeping the here, there and the there, here;  and our thin-layered hope, poetic veneer.     And so here we are, having journeyed this far,  each knowing the distance from where we each came  and the heart’s reach from here, is always the same.

Equidistant, I love the word.So precise, concise, measurable. The heart is a meter in every way. "Language" deception at best, manipulation at worst. I am filled with shame to see how I use it. How I "keep the here, there the there, here" This speaks to me of responsibility.I have used words to blunt the heart. " Language was designed for what we have in mind, and stands at quite a distance, and far apart, from anything we have come to know by heart." Moira
