Wherefore (the) Memories The grey and blue melded with the green of the mountains. The trill of a bird sang lustily greetings to the old boys. Fifty years together again - sad to say for the first time and maybe the last time. Memories flooded, lies and stories were told; many of which we had forgotten. We laughed. We cried. We said our good-byes to our school, our friends who bonded once again. Thousands of miles had separated us. Now, electronics binds us with promises of "stay in touch" we parted. Brotherhood was not lost! |
Additional Notes:
The 50th anniversary of my High School class. The school (private) founded in 1792,
Cheshire, Connecticut,
took its colors of blue and grey from the North/South colors.
It was a males only school at that time.
