Hootenanny!

Friday night! Folk music! We’d all sit in the living room Watching and listening in black and white. All well and good until the gospel singers came on. Of course I had to pretend I didn’t like them either, But I did. Imagine! To let go like that and not give a damn. Man! Just LOOK at them! Shouting and clapping! (I start twitching) Leaping for joy! AMEN! AMEN!! “Those God-damned FOOLS!” The pronouncement was made I sat there small and still. Suffocating

I was listening to Paul Simon's Graceland CD and the S. African group who's name escapes me. It was magic and I was transported once more back in time.
