The Castle I stand in silence quiet, safe In this a too familiar place These marble walls so straight and tall I made them all I've built and now I stand inside This grand cathedral where I hide While maidens drown in motes so cold I do grow old What price to pay for such a thrown It's safety leaves me cold as stone I'll shout and in my echo hear The door is near And as I search for sacred ground The lives of loves they all have drown These painful faces do I see In front of me A narrow path through white bark trees The seasons change to golden leaves New wind now blows the old away I think I'll stay |
