Excerpts from a Nightmare {Revised & Revisted}

"WHERE AM I?" "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" The sky is vivid green Where it once was blue I must venture ever deeper  With much cause for alarm One false move could cause me great harm Redolent odors go awry Viewing unfamiliar shapes Three such float nearby Now recognizable of face The great Gandhi and Lincoln With Cornelius the ape What a strange forboding land What an eerie little place Gandhi speaks of forgiveness To turn the other cheek The wise man speaks softly He is forever meek Lincoln shouts of freedom Of equality for all His words flow like water  Before his mighty fall Cornelius jeers of damnation He says "Sealed is our fate" Too slow to make changes  The changes came too late The scene suddenly shifts  The sky is now my home It's getting somewhat scary I roam the sky alone Floating never falling Postions ever changing My mind begins to spin  My thougts rearranging A constant whirling dervish Ideas so intense A quagmire of emotions  None of which make sense And from my twilight slumber  I awoke with such A fright A concious understanding Cornelius was right!
