Whole: A Self-Portrait (challenge)

I was scattered Running, hiding Ignoring, denying, dying Exhausted and cornered, I faced my awesome fear Not my siblings as I thought Nor my mother Nor father as I had argued Not even the damned man in the glass With help, I trekked back Through the pupil of jaundiced eyes Down the crackling optic tunnel Into that morass of gray matter There I found him Long ago abandoned Curled in a ball Overcome, I scooped him up and held him The tears I cried The tears we cried Alone in the center of it all Were joyful beyond this world I will never Ever Abandon him again I am Whole
