Assasin Silver Rain falls, cooling The angry crowd. Waiting in the plaza, hate rules his heart and mind. Under his coat, a gun waiting to claim its fame. Hiding behind a general’s statue, shaking from fear and mad determination, hand steadies at last. He is coming past now ! A step out into view of the carriage. Green plumes swayed in summer’s breeze. Passengers laughed, smiling, chatting about the sights, their children’s play, happy, satisfied with their lot in life. A shot, a life taken, the nation mourns the loss, seeks revenge. The world goes madly to war. |
Additional Notes:
World War One. It's amazing the problems that one action can trigger.
