FRACTIONS What was is now just shattered stone that rains upon tomorrow The setting sun begets a dawn of voiceless pain and sorrow The joy we shared is lost to us it churns with changing tide crashing down upon the waves our future at its side Ebbs away the fear of 'one' the fate of two no longer rides upon the rocky shore the fault beneath is stronger Time rotates so quickly now the sun departs the sky as remnants of a long lost love float to the shore to die Our lives will take a separate path freed hearts that lust to wander though promise does await us now our minds slip back to ponder Just when does love become a void a scar upon our soul what once was strong and solid now a fraction of the whole |
