Thanks for always being there to tell me how I’m wrong, and thanks for always making me feel like I stayed too long. Thanks for always showing me how much you didn't care, and thanks for always acting like you wished I wasn't there. Thanks for always telling me I couldn't get it done, and thanks for always making me feel like the bastard son.  Thanks for never caring what I thought or what I felt, and thanks for always having close at hand that leather belt. Thanks for always telling me the many ways I’d lose, and thanks for every tear you caused, each welt, and every bruise. Thanks for all the ways you tried to take my life from me, ’cause now I know exactly how I never want to be.
