At Home Lives My Heart The space travelers were awed at the vision of the planet hanging in the skies before their eyes. From their cosmic view, as seen from standing on the surface of the moon: They believed their purpose was to study only the celestial body they now stood upon. They were stunned by the vision positioned before them. Lit from the sun's beams with a backdrop of pitch black from the deep-set sky, was this jewel in space, showing the colors marble water blues and whites blazing bright of their home planet. The third planet from the sun, called 'Earth'. They had come from different countries and had traveled the furthest of miles, exploring space with motives only known to them and their's. They were struck with the emotions of love, joy, and appreciation for the grandness of what was before them. They saw as we may never see. They experienced a newfound conviction of great significance: a knowing that we 'all' inhabit this Earth. We 'all' have a common destiny. We must 'all' work together to save and preserve our most precious home. Our home may die from our abuse and neglect. And when they came home and raised their voice, telling of what they had learned, their effect was small in contrast to the job ahead which has become almost unfathomable. We all know not where to start, but no matter, we must. Everything of the Earth is us and this most sacred reverent ground is our home. From the depths of the seas and the heights of the skies, let all our hearts unite in peace, joined together, beating as one! I’m of the Earth and I rejoice! |
Additional Notes:
This is my way to share with you my most favorite book.
'Home Planet'; [1985] is a book written by the Planetary Congresses of the Association of Space Explorers, the world's only international professional association of flown astronauts and cosmonauts; membership in ASE is limited to those who have made at least one orbit of the Earth in outer space.
