From Tibet he came

Saffron garments swayed gently as they entered The six monks sat idly by and waited, then They stood and raised trumpets to signal the appearance of the main man - The monk supreme The Dalai Lama Some monks seemed oblivious to it all Some even picked their noses Dinner made by the community was served Strange samplings were offered The Dalai spoke The Dalai blessed us one by one …and then he was gone …and then I was converted Converted to a philosophy of life Converted but not conquered That way of life stays for me …   in the shadows
