Murder of a Child

An innocent child, asleep in the womb, With no chance nor choice If he is to live or die. A pure soul reaches out, Grabbing for fleeting life, And unheard cries pierce the heavens. Silent screaming, all ignored. Death creeps nearer, And the unjustness of it all is vented. “Why do I have to die? What did I do to deserve this? A child of God deserves more than murder, A child of God deserves life. I need to open my eyes, And see those who love me. I need to learn to love, So that I can begin to comprehend  My loving, merciful God. I need to live my life, Discover my path  And Walk with my savior. I don’t deserve  Mutilation and destruction. For the same One who loves you, Died for me. I don’t deserve-“ Cut short, interrupted. Murdered and lifeless, Forgotten and discarded, Just a body, abused and broken, Remains unmoving in the womb. A soul, so special and unique, Has left this world, and travels home.
