MELL W. MORRIS

Mercurial Enigma, Loved and embraced Life; Well reads and a self Made poetic Oracle who Relished words and sounds: Reverently she scribed artful Imagery during her interim Search for fated destiny...

Additional Notes:
Jennifer, thanks for letting me know of Mell's passing. At some point she was my friend, mentor and muse. Sentiments I'm sure were shared by many (if not all) at TPL. TLW

Hi Turner....I was just on fanstory and sent you a message and in part asked if you knew of Mell's passing..so this poem answeres my question. As usual you write an acrostic with the same skill I have ccome to expect from you. It is well done, good word choices, and a thoughtful tribute to Mell. I was so looking forward to calling her on the phone when I came to Texas this time and she was looking forward to the same...however, it was not meant to be. This lights on TPL will always be a little dimmer now. It is my hope and prayer that this poetry site can prosper once again...Mell would like that. My best...Marilyn

Dear Turner, Bless you for posting this, and honoring Mell in such a beautiful way. I know all of us here, are still reeling from this news. It's just so damn sad. To find these kind of words, to honor someone in this way, is such a remarkable and courageous thing to do, because of the emotions that are pulled from deep down inside of someone. Thank you, for remembering her this way. Very nicely done. Sincerely, Denimari

Turner, you have captured the spirit, in the tribute- (I wonder if she watches), and I see her in your eyes. It is a true representation of the sweetness and muscle of her character. Following “Enigma” with “Loved and Embraced” tells volumes of her contributions to the lives she touched, and those who read her meticulously crafted poetry. You end it with “life”, indeed, that is more a institution than a moniker. I stayed and played at “Imagery during her interim” – such a well place line, well written, and finally leads us to “Search for fated destiny” – and as I read it, I wondered if she found it, or if she is still smiling, writing, and on the next, pain free adventure. Thank you much for sharing, it is meaningful to me.

Thank you for sharing this fitting tribute to her with us, you've done a phenomenal job with your words, and yes "Imagery during her interim Search for fated destiny..." would we all have her gift. Warmest always, Lora
