Musical Reeds

Reeds rustle soft through amber light with silken stroke they comb the night as they whisper songs of Springtime in woodwind melody. The water fowl, fall into tune the crickets and the soothing loon join in to sing their evensong in nature's harmony. Musical praise to Mother Earth In celebration of re-birth

Dear Nancy Ann, You write with a very unique style, you make it your own and I've noticed it, through all of your recent posts here. This is pretty, a touching poem, with wonderful imagery. The beginning of the piece, pulls the reader in. "Reeds rustle soft through amber light - with silken stroke they comb the night (very original idea, great rhyming) You've repeated the pattern, in the second verse, syllables flow in an even manner. Pulling both verses together with "in natures harmony", really give this poem visual clarity. The reader is taken to your place, and can feel the harmony of nature within your beautiful words. Another great post for you.........it was a pleasure to read. Sincerely, Denimari

Nancy, Nice, very nice! The only fault is my wish for more........ I love combing the night. Nature's harmony sings sweetly when undisturbed by man. I like Spring's rebirth, a new beginning....hopefully umproved. my best to you. Dellena

Hi Nancy, Oh, I can feel the soft flutterings that create a melody in my ear! Music is really the best thing to know in harmony with nature. Reeds' rustle with silken stroke combing the night is wonderful! I would like to take a nap now as this poem lulls me. This is a treat for me. Thanks for sharing! Jordan
