Paradoxical Parody ~ Enter here, my precious one. So glad you finally came. Come penetrate my threshold to the parlour of your pain. Your penchant for perversity has brought you to my door, to prove your predilection with all things you abhor. Come closer now, my pretty one, I’ll peer into your soul. That parody of pleasantry thrust deep in darkened hole. A portrait of repulsion is etched upon your face. Your eyes return depravity, reflections of my taste. Follow me, my playful one. Swiftly now, you'll see. This path is meant to inculcate, point out proclivity. Errant spirits flourish here nurtured on your fears. We'll dine on your repugnance, toast you with your tears. Panic not, precautious one, no longer you shall weep. Your everlasting life we shield in paradoxical sleep. ~ |
Additional Notes:
Just some dark fun with the letter "P."

Mary--A witty almost tongue twisting Poe-like echo. These well pre-
sented quatrains (IMO)inferences the diabolical work of an archangel
among "sheep". This alliteration saturated rhyming write could easily
be a depiction of souls being secured through temptations (my favorite
and most telling of the verses);
"Your penchant for perversity
has brought you to my door,
to prove your predilection
with all things you abhor."
Although blessed with free will, humans in this scenario are again
beguiled;
"Panic not, precautious one,
no longer you shall weep.
Your everlasting life we shield
in paradoxical sleep."
An brilliant dark offering with intriguing under/over-tones. I enjoyed
the effort that went into this post. TLW
