Saving Grace When existence is perfect, and I've good health, a wonderful job, ample money, someone to love, all the makings of effortless living, it's easy for me to be happy! Even though I may not be content! When the world conspires against me, I'm ill of health, unemployed, bankrupt, divorced or unloved, I'm crying loss in daily's stress, It's easy for me to be unhappy! Even though I may be content! I can still know peace in the throes of turmoil even if I experience godforsaken-ness. When the spring in my step has sprung and every moment of life's journey twist and turns into grief, uncertainty, and bewilderment, nothing is beyond redemption. Into the days of darkness I call forth contentment! It comes as peace when I take a walk. I see the sky, I smell the air, and I visit the trees, I have moments of calm to reflect on goodness. |

Dellena, you make me cringe for love and elevate redemption. For “someone to love”, there is no effortless living, with or without- and you are right, contentment is found elsewhere.
Though the conspirators choose their weapons, of health, poberty, deception, and deceit- you find the answer- to choose the discontent or content, from within, not without.
There is the peace – the “spring in step” and I know the journey you speak of. I have spent too many days on its trail- and I have come to similar conclusion.
Yes, the redemption is from within; it is the soul that judges the scent of living, the sight of eternity, and determines the value of this living. Bravo!! Superb treatise. Excellent.
