History Lessons

Days flow one upon the other  stacked up as pages in a book. Each chapter a year of life… Read only after being written.  Times move past before  we understand the lesson. The future waits concealed  as nonfiction yet revealed. When ultimately completed hard bound and titled it's set upon the shelf in the library of what once was….. waiting for anyone interested   to check it out and to acquire insight.

Oh so true. Good rhythm here. Books are always finding a way from the store to my shelves so that when I have time, I acquire the insight within. Too many books, too little time. Thanks for this cut ditty.

Hi, Dellena. This is a different style for you...(I think)...I enjoyed this!. I think it is as deep as the dust on the history book; it goes full circle and that is neat! I have one suggestion for you that may or may not be important, but anyway-try reading it without the 4th stanza. I think those two lines take away from all the rest. One more suggestion. This just to pull the reader back into the book When ultimately completed or when ultimately completed hard bound and titled a book hard bound and titled I like this alot! I'm really glad you shared this. It is a whimsical way to look at the reality of life, and especially dear to we poets. Awesome! Ellen

Good morning Del a nice way for you to end the year by posting yet another poem. A nice, smooth flowing easy read, for those who take the year in review one that would show much has happened in this past year and the images just keep floating by one after another though some I would rather not see or be reminded of again. For those of us who celebrate the end of the year and a birthday at the same time well a full length novel might be in order depending upon the kind of year had.......It is interesting though how books do come into being, how they do tend to just sit around waiting for someone to take it down from the shelf, dust it off and venture on an adventure through life that has been lived by others.........perhpas someday someone will find your book of poetry and do the same. You take good care as you enter this New Year 2007 and may your writing continue to bless us here on the link. God Bless, Claire Now you go critique girl and take first place where you deserve to be........
