Mothers Way (Revised) You gave me, my first kiss that showed me love. God placed me in your welcoming arms, This daughter from Heaven above. You gave me knowledge and wisdom, Showed me how to live. So many days spent with me, Teaching me how to give. You gave me courage, strength, And the feeling of pride Were always near When I needed to cry. This bond formed between us Has lasted all these years. Yours was the only voice, That chased away my fears. With love surrounding me, Day after day Comfort I depended on, Led me in a secure way. You let my spirit soar, Loved me just for who I am. With Gods best intentions It was a beautiful plan. Thank you mom today and everyday For loving me, your daughter in your own special way. |
Additional Notes:
In loving memory of my mom. I wrote this for her for Mothers Day, in 2001 and posted it here. This is a simple piece, written from my heart that I wanted to share with all of you, one more time.

DeniMarie,
This is a wonderful tribute to your mother and surely as you and I believe in celestial grace, you were blessed to have this wonderful person of which you speak; be your mother-- a gift to you and her both. Thank you for sharing such an intimate look into your relationship with this well penned easy read.
