Xcaret I Miss You

Even in this dark of worlds there are places where the light comes in, and something about the air and how the warmth can clip the edge of chill;    brightening pools of water      that basin in the caves,    fed by the underground rivers    flowing effortlessly to the sea. At certain unexpected entrances tropical leaves shadow weave intricate waving curtains alighting soft on travellers seeking pacific passage through -    We are as though refugee children all who come here searching for the beauty and the sea, swimming through each reflected leaf and tree in the waterworld of blue and green.  Fountains flow and natural waterfalls abound and there are mazes in the trails that lead to places still unfound, deep streams and dreams     that may bring us yet      to the very beginning          of those flowing flourishing springs,      our eyes shining bright as soul-lit torches.
