Listen To the Color Of Flowers
Captivating crimson revered roses
their majestic beauty enslaves
in the grandeur of their lips
Lovely lilies of vows and death
such purity of flesh that lures
all to the alter and on the grave
The living sounds of lavender lives
at the loins of king and peasant
This royalty shall abound
In the morning glory comes the dawn
awakening the mind and senses
a divinity of love ensues
Tulips touch in a evocative embrace
as nectar nurtures our love
by surrendering souls to their beauty
Sealing floral eloquence in us eternally
illuminating imprints of hues and colors
so gently endears our love
Come, listen to the color flowers |

Paul,
And what color is today.
The meaning of flowers from days of yore..
Every day is different so being well rounded you would have touches of all.
And your bouquet is huge that you offer your love.
Sweetheart is much blessed.

What a lovely bouquet of flowers you have presented your sweetheart in this one poet.......the colors blend so well from beginning to end, the aroma that your words further present, love the smell of roses, not crazy about lilies though....morning glories now those are so beautiful when opened for all to share, good format, easy and enjoyable read and one can feel the emotions that you have packed within the lines as your birthday gift of love. Thanks for posting and sharing, God Bless, Claire

Paul,
Very picturesque, brought to mind the scents of each as I read your words and envisioned each flower. A most enjoyable read, gentle and delicate filled with awe and love; only one little tiny nit. In your last line you've omitted the word "of" with is probably a typo as in my mind I felt you meant to repeat the title of your poem tying beginning to end.
Best always,
Lora
