all our hands

I.  suppose     she was standing in the rain          (we sitting on the porch   speaking gently)            she          calling       (we turn the music louder   dance)                             (sing)          she         waiting       (we turn the music louder)                        disappearing              away she fades       (singing) she (lento)              becoming space       (we    standing in the warm light)               (we     calling to ourselves softly)   (leaving the porch)      it was raining II.  dripping from the rain                  her hair          wet     and her      lips       warm with the             freshness of tears                she       singing        her shallow    moving             to deep          and ever deeper        (somehow we hear)    (we answer   each stone)         (for each tear) III.  given much       we assume no responsibility              (she sits quietly)       we build and destroy       we assume no responsibility          (she closes her eyes)       mostly we destroy       mostly we do not feel                    (she)               (waiting alone)       mostly we do not know       unmoving        waiting       we assume no responsibility                         (desparate)            (becoming smaller)       we given much       take
