In Time

Within a moment the bubble will burst The pressure has been applied This face no longer remains smooth Lines penetrate the area above the brow Anticipation, a key factor in the result Not knowing the outcome, contributes Unable to touch, yet able to see what lines ahead Hearing the words, not yet spoken Life has been hiding behind a branch Observing the young as well as the old Rarely giving, but willing to learn Receiving rewards with little sacrifice Bright lights soon infiltrate Air rushes in The soul refreshed with the body as one Along this journey that unfolds…

Excellent use of words to create the feeling of space. By the end, the feeling of time passed is palpable, yet it's fragility is maintained in the perspective. The tension and release of growing older is nicely summarized in an un-obvious manner in the last stanzas. Well done. Thanks, Regis

Hi Thomas, It sounds good to have the soul refreshed. It is difficult to give out and soon empty your cup.......with nothing left to share. Somehow some way we must fill up the cup [refresh] so we can share ourselves again. Many times I search long and hard to find the power. And when I fill up again, I feel strong, confident, and on my right path again. You do amazingly well keeping fortified with goodness. How blessed to read your soul workings. Thank you for sharing. Dellena
