Light Tones and Horses Playing Still cold air teased into steaming
by a steel blue stallion preening
Tossing head and earth stamping
for his lady so deeply taken
One moment elegant in its hesitation |

James,
As I critique, I see my voting power increase my 'possibilities' list.
I don't usually pay attention to those details.
Your poem is good....thoughtful.
Wondering what is going through the horses mind.
Horses are pretty sensual.
I think I need a cold shower.
Isn't life a kick?

Beautifully penned ....love the images you have created within these lines. steel blue stallion
preening tossing head and earth stamping.........I am sure his lady was deeply taken ....you can feel the still cold air and see the steam coming from the stallion's nostrils......I so love to watch horses especially at play or in the dating sense of the words. Thanks for posting, should make the list for the month, God Bless, Claire
