Ultimate Peace The next place that I go will be restful as a summers night-- It will be like no other place I’ve ever been or ever left behind. I won’t know where I’m headed, and won’t know where I’ve been-- As I slip on through the porthole, and look back into the when. I’ll take wing above the rainbow, I’ll ascend above the sky-- I’ll glide into the wonder, and never wonder why. I won’t recall advancing there, Somehow I will just arrive-- But I’ll know that I reside there, I’ll feel much more alive. There won’t be any misfortune there, in this place of surviving light-- Where an ever pensive morning pushes back the dying night. I will be with all my family, that I have ever known-- Finally I’ll be perfect, so much my spirits grown. All these things will travel with me, and make my essence glow-- Gods light will shine forever friend, In the next place I go. |
Additional Notes:
I wrote this poem about three months ago while I sat at my mothers side. I could not help but
wonder the thoughts that went through her mind at the time she was passing to the other side.
A precious mother never forgotten.
