Hidden Tethers Hazy recollections
of infancy’s budding
cloistered deep inside
A time of birth
babe’s first breathes
wrapped in loving arms
Your tears of sadness
gently fell
clouding your heart
A gift of life
given in youth
of selfless love
So brief our tenure
still, love for you
in this heart stays
Alone; traversing many roads
as calendar’s mark
invades this day
Bless you Mother
on this Special day

Delicate tribute, true love never fades; this we both have found in life. Honoring those that have left before us are baby steps towards healing and she would be so proud of you, never allowing a special day to pass without thoughts of her on your mind.
Very nicely done,
blessings,
Deni

Such a poem as this always makes my mind wander. My mother having passed, there are yet mothers around me.
special day, there is a whole month for "green", and mothers get one day.
It is such as you that make more of the tribute than will be given by others. I appreciate it.

Lora,
Nice poem for mothers.
I especially like calendar mark invading the day.
I hate a date telling when to show appreciation!
Can't fight city hall on that one.
Hope your mother is still alive, for your benefit.
Mine died when I was 20. Never knew her actually.
Happy mothers day Lora.
Wado,
Dellena

Hi Lora,
This is a lovely poem for Mother's day. You have used some outstanding phrases;
Alone; traversing many roads
as calendar’s mark
invades this day
These lines especially stand out for me. They speak of time passing in such a poetic manner. You have a gift for this type of poetry, whatever you do don't stop writing.
Best wishes,
cheyenne
