Cage of Glass I can't fall asleep and I can't wake up. Sometimes I wonder why it's never too much. I know the answer so I'm too scared to ask. Why am I trapped in this cage of glass? Someday I'll escape as I do when I dream. My will is strong but far from supreme. I know the road but I stand in my way. I fear the cold of the very next day. Ignoring the peace without my consent. Treading my grief till my heart is content. Squaring the pieces so everything's round. Hazing my life until it is sound. I can't persevere and I can't give up. Sometimes I wonder what will be enough? I know the answer from living my past. So I'll stay trapped in this cage of glass. |
