We Hide No More Out on the mountain My soul finds it's home As on the path we travel Along on our own A hammock strung up Between two trees Provides safe place of slumber And all that we need The solace we find On the mountain side Gives us the strength To no longer hide |

Mandie, there is a strenth in this piece, not of transcending but of finding oneself.
The images are strong, and the "slumber" a scene to leave the soul. Indeed, the "path we travel" contains its own good and evil- but I am sure it must be noted that the trees, hammock and mountains, were probably a bit off the beaten path. One either had to choose the metaphor, or choose the setting for the metaphor. One had to go there or discover.
I like this piece, and am always looking for that moment when necessity does not demand seclusion, rather, the chooses allow for the respite.
