In Aspect

Parading, trailing movement into show   heating up, now it's cooling down Moving fast enough no one sees the clown   like blindness is, more than less, taking                                         down The set of one act in ways to hide the next.

Additional Notes:
Transitioning one myth, that of global warming, into another, that of a "mini ice age". If you fall for this disingenuous shift, one admonition: you'd be a better poet without a ring in your nose. JCH

James, So true! Unless the action is advertized, nobody notices and uses their own head. Lest they be mistaken and a fool. After all the newsmen tell all, right! Glad you have no nose ring. Dellena

JC, I had to laugh out loud when I read your note "a poet without a ring in your nose." This is intense and a serious subject matter precisely written as a wake up call to those who never heed warnings of professional experts on what is occurring in our environment as well as our atmosphere. There are those that think - nothing they do can destroy the world - and they go about their daily lives oblivious to these concerns - they think about what sort of dessert they want after dinner, or what to wear to a baby shower - and leave our planet in the hands of the scientists they trust implicitly with their own lives. Kudos to you for taking a stand, for educating others and for writing this - wonderful poem. blessings always, Deni

JCH, my assumption (and we know what assumptions do) is that you are referring to present (climate variations of some sort, natural or man made) leading to another little ice age without the essential Maunder Minimum, the Milancovich cycle, and the extreme volcanic influences (well with Iceland we do have extreme volcanism). That said, and with regard to your piece I also assume you aren’t speaking of the (see the three contributors above) earth cooling between 1250 (the beginning of the Ice Cap increase and Glaciers) and 1850 (of which would have been over if not for volcanism in the pacific extending the cooling), which of course yielded the year without a summer, Frankenstein, Valley Forge, and the Black Plague- and all that said- In assumption 1, I agree wholeheartedly, in assumption 2, well….. we need to talk  I love a verse that makes one think; and believe it or not- the three century (mini ice age (I hate that name)), is a pet subject of mine. Thanks again, always have to think with your piece.
