I'll Never Know

Listen! These Old Bones Underneath the Mask Where Darkness Lies creak and moan while Crying Eyes Fantasized Revenge by Integrating Night and Day. I Thought About You Today, about our Souls Running Free making Heavenly Connections. I thought I’d write you a Love Poem but our Torrid Affair was Poison Rising. As we were Creating and Dating, Debating A Shattered Moon, you challenged me To Stand In Truth. So my Recovered Soul alongside Black-Eyed Susans that cherish Truth and Freedom is  Becoming One. Finding Solace in Season from our Rantings of the Divided Mind while Reality’s Promise creates a Memorial of Innocence that will Feed Me and my Anger as Today, The Adult Child learns to let go. So I Cried for You Today when I saw you in that Tuxedo dressed up all nice, nowhere to go knowing that I’ll Never Know when you Speak Your Truth. .

Hi Mandie, I think you met the challenge well in this melancholy poem. You have penned some good phrases and even though I am not sure what all of them mean I do like the poem. Your ending was a surprise and quite powerful. Well done. Best wishes, cheyenne

Consider the flow it seemed to get lost for this reader and felt your were writing to just write not to express the depth within..Sorry just my take.
