Dellena, I can only presume to know the grander scheme of this piece. I do know history; and with an unjaundiced view of it, find the idiosyncrasies of each era to be as fascinating as it might be beneficial or brutal. I think, however, that the only real “truth” for as much as it is known, is what can be known; that is history. “Fantasy called Reality” remarks of the rewriting of that history; or misinterpretation. I understand all too well the arrogance of those who come afterwards, to judge from the future, what might have occurred in the past. “Man desn’t see what he thinks he sees” is the most cogent line in your piece. It is a pet pieve of mine that the modern man believes, hidden in the age of a moment, they would make a different decision. It is fallacious theorem at best. I do also appreciate the “anonymous composers” and this might be more a reference to those making history now. In many respects we are puppets in much of our life, without the control to control our own destiny. I suspect that you and I would fall on different sides of the geo-political spectrum, but one thing is sure; much of where we are destined is dependent on the strings some other schmuck is pulling.
