Damn us

From early on in the Bible to today in my own home some people spend the money some people pay the bills I know the cost of living I know the cost of pain If you can't pay your own way you just aren't worth a damn But that's how it is made or at least what we're supposed to believe you run up the tab to fill your greed and leave someone else to pay Our government sets the example more and more and more and more there's nothing left in the "piggy" bank only notes and promises turned to dust A day of reckoning will confront us we will hide in the shadows of our guilt and turn our children to face the carnage and then slip quietly into hell

Oh boy there is lots to chew on in this piece. On so meny levels your right. However the other side to all of this is that if all stop spending alot of people would be out of work. We buy what others produce. It is in our face at all times. If you don't have the newest tech piece on the market you are some how not as worthy as those who do. The more you spend the more value you have as a person. This is crazy of coarse but that is were we seem to find ourselves. On the other hand there are those who do so many great things with not alot of money in their pockets, like poets.
