Turmoil No Peace I stand alone, I stand my ground No Place To feel at peace or feel I’ve found My Place Among the loved or special ones My Piece The last slice gone – I’m left with none Some Peace That’s all I want – when will I find it? My Face Crestfallen – damp, from endless crying My Soul A twisted cloud of fear and doubt My Sight Feels ever shielded – there’s no way out Why Take? And take and take – when will you give? Heart Breaks I need to run so I can live My Fate Forever tied and bound this way My Fear I’ll die from being led astray Know Peace That road, elusive, dark, foreboding Release My fear of falling and not knowing The Taste Of moist, warm slices - sweet and flowing The Path Toward love and joy unfolding |

Hi Kimberly,
This is fabulous poem. It is a tad dark but the melancholy lines are well composed and compelling. It reads like a lost love and you have done a fine job in depicting that. I have failed at picking a favorite line as I like them all. Well done.
Best wishes,
cheyenne
