Man Sipping Coffee from a Saucer

A styrofoam cup not even a handle    chickens raised in dark not even a candle (Once even the eggs were and yet)    you can't find a straight bone on a bet Corn that looks so luscious     and yet can give you a virus Children given e colli eating out    with high tech fixes about  Excusing and not fixing shit While nostalgia becomes    man sipping coffee from a saucer

Visually stunning. Yes the world has changed and we wonder why many seemed to be OK with food that can kill us. Short cuts that cost us more then we can imagine. Your poem spells it out nicely

The title is eye catching which is the best part of being enticed to read a poem. The depth in your piece colorfully describes in poetic form how we're suppose to proceed with caution to everything we handle now to avoid experiencing any ill repercussions of what we do - but there is more depth in this piece - more towards where society in general needs to react with appropriate measures and not excuse the extent of how much we've to be concerned about now. Very clever and I do hope you enlighten me to this particular line, "Once even the eggs were and yet) you can't find a straight bone on a bet" Well done - I enjoyed this poem. DZ
