What If

What if love has not  one heart  Or calls one soul  home What if love were   like a child   that steps from  stone to stone  that lay within   a stream Giggling while   she perches  smiling while    searches  for a stone  that does not protest  her feet

Joe, Love the imagery! Love the possibility. It immediately makes me think that love is ours just for a time, so we should enjoy it while it lasts. Thanks for sharing! Kim

Hi Joe, A wonderful lighthearted poem that I enjoyed reading. "What If?" indeed - if love could be like this. Your verses flow nicely and imagery stands out - very well done - I have to say that my favorite verse is: What if love were like a child that steps from stone to stone that lay within a stream yet the whole piece in all is wonderful - Deni
