Mother's Pride

Mothers Pride Twilight beckons' tiny foot's soft patter Eyelids drift downward embracing silent night Small arms folded inward like petals of a flower Solace is given prior to the evenings delight Gently they drift into a wondrous slumber Visions of serenity flow through their heads Tucked warm in comfort by mom's gentle hands Secure in their visions of far away lands The night now gone daylight starts ascending  Back from their slumber they now come forth Tiny eyes dropping hair is all frazzled Little feet scatter as they run to the potty Back to mothers arms they dashed in a flash Sweet little smiles, twinkle in their eyes Big hugs given and a kiss on the cheek Love emerges, touches gently exchanged The small little one just four years of age Tiny hands softly placed on mother's cheeks Says in tone so gently in her voice "Good morning mommy you're deep in my heart" Smiles bright then come like a twinkling star Fulfillment seen from distance afar Tender emotions within reside Inner dimensions of a Mother's Pride
