Petals

Thoughts of you blow like  cool breezes across the  deserts of my mind Your touch is like  lit matches to the  dried out roses of  my heart I can feel the hunger  that lingers in your hugs Love how your eyes thinly hides the fire that abides in your soul Words are poor substitutes for action  But for now I only have nouns verbs, and metaphors to leave like literary petals  at your cyber door

I love the imagery. The words show so much understanding of the "hunger" being felt the beloved. Clearly there is a parched desert in the poet's heart as well and it makes me wonder why there is no action. :) Love how your eyes thinly "hide" the fire that abides in your soul?

Joe, Has some of those Gustin flashes of metaphor and phrasing that I love seeing from you. Nice. MSS
