In A War Of Flowers

In a war of flowers let us  move from the Poppy to the Iris  The Poppy a symbol of sacrifice To the Iris in the defence of freedom  Let us wear this to  help lady liberty hold  her torch higher then hatred can reach Paris proves we are  in it now Lets wear the Iris To show the French Of them we are proud

I agree; and love the way you painted these particular flowers - Too many are dying for a cause they have no burden to bear - This world has changed for the worst - I pray for a better outcome than we have now. simply beautiful, Deni

Very nice poem. Love the second verse: "Let us wear this/to help lady liberty hold/her torch higher/than hatred can reach." Fine job! Joe, you have a flair for the short, sweet, and to the point...My best to you.
