They Come Back To Visit "Heaven" came to visit me through a dream meant only for my eyes to see Standing in blackest dark feeling cooler air captivated as I slept not knowing what to expect Far in the distance two headlights approaching me slowly I watched you exit from the passenger side of your red Jeep Dressed in casual wear tears welling up in your dark brown eyes which met mine A gift of time for you to say your final goodbye I heard your voice through the distance “Mom I don’t know what happened I don’t know why I’m here” No reasons could you give about why you were chosen to leave and I was chosen to live Mother left behind to ache to cry living years intensely pained by grief searching for divine relief Son you were in a place I'm still not ready to cross but would have stood there forever rather than lived on through your loss Can't deny such a powerful dream it brought us together one last time When I woke up understanding you were in good hands could visit again by your spirit means sad to think it would only be in my dreams You had always been the driver but not that particular night someone drove you to me to show me you were alright |

Deni, this is one of your best. I'm so sorry for your loss. You've found a very different way to narrate such an incident and the feelings of hurt that one would live with after. why you were chosen to leave and why I was chosen to live.. that question could repeat in one's head forever.
