Quite A Bright Show

My breath stilled in quiet contemplation One hundred yards seemed like an inch as the sun gradually  arose to a kinder shade of pink Cold air seemed distant precisely as the warmth of my view  captivated and held me in its entirety The wonder of Winter never fails to mystify  fill my mind with tender memories of Winter’s passed by changing this peaceful quiet to create brilliance like no other  There off in the remote snow scattered grass stood  the most becoming gathering of deer  Beauty in the moment on this day will remain ever clear

Excellently crafted words that gently hold the reader's hand and leads one into a magical winterland of breathtaking colors in the sky and the cool and peace of a more quiet time of year. I love the mention of the deer herd at the very end. There was already happiness in the view around and to see this gathering would have indeed brought a feeling of marvel of something more divine .. great surprise. If you really witnessed this, you are truly blessed. Love you!

I really enjoyed the easy flow and rhyme of this poem I am not a lover of winter but I my just need a change of scenery. The magic of good poetry is that we the reader can now say that the gathering of deer on that snow dusted day will be ours to remember too.

Deni, “Quiet contemplation” This piece screams of wonder, in quiet contemplative style. Warmth exudes in the coldness of the air. Winter comes alive- and I have always been a winter guy. I’d tell you a secret but you’d think I was daft. I wish, I wish, and there to mystify, you capture me in imagination and wonder. Did we speak of “stilled in quiet, contemplation”? Come away, the sharing, so is the brilliance like no other. wonderfully alive, this piece, wonderfully alive.
