All I Know

All I know  since I met you  is that colours have voices  and music has hues That the oceans and skies are sisters under the skin like sunset and sunrise All I know from when I first held you  is how you took me  from ancient to new from jazz to blues from art to artist From choir to solo All I remember from our first kiss was the death of loss and the birth of bliss

Every time I think you cannot top a love poem, you come up with words put together like this that can really wake a person to the humility in your soul that allows you to express yourself in such an open and honest way. Then I wonder if you're a romantic or a player ..

Joe- All I know, is this is filled with panorama. The “sisters under the skin” analogy is brilliant. The old English spelling of colors, fits the scene well. Adding to that is your transitions, eac of which has its own nuances; “ancient to new”, “jazz to blues”, “art to artist”, “choir to solo”, and adds that much more to the character of the first kiss. Contrast, death to birth, loss to bliss. Well done.
