Lumberjack

Axe wielded it scores deeply with the killing thrust performed and provided by a friendly face Words become vipers to poison dreams lifeforce flows from heartfelt wounds beautiful blood a scarlet flame in an empty, black sky die once more, a life wasted murdered in infancy by Mother Fate forgotten by God blotted from the book of the World despondent forlorn         soaking in the bathwater of salty bitterness still bleeding forever Faces of humanity sneering, gawking Where is the love? Where is the empathy? Where is the humanity? lost hardened shells leaving nothing in their wake         exuding life that is illusion seeping destruction denying resurrection the dead souls wander off carrying the weight of their sins on their curved backs and weakened bones
