Dreaded Night!

Dreaded Night!              Dreaded night about to approach Black as a piece of coal Silent birds, wind blowing swiftly Shadows lurking around the corner Eyes closed for slumbers rest Visions' of evil float in your head Fear sneaks into your mind Haunted thoughts and illusions Ghostly figures enter your realm Faces contorted like twisted metal You're lost in a world unknown Is this real or just a dream?  Qualms of falling from a building top Under the water with no air Smoke-filled lungs as you burn alive Drive by shooting as you slowly die Sunlight glimmers through the window pane Eyes slowly open fear disappears Smell of lilacs in the morning air Dreaded night now gone, was just a dream
