The Lane As I walked down the peaceful lane I heard the birds call again and again. The butterflies fluttered slowly by While the fireflies danced with the dragonflies. Time had seemed to stand still While fauna and flora played at will. The gentle stream bubbled by While the trees waved and the crickets cried. This wondrous place was alive And full of the Creator’s glory. I sighed while I watched the lovely scene And thought it must surely be a dream. But I never awoke, And my peaceful, lovely lane Is still there. |
