My Brother's Heart

There are some that are joyous, always feeling glad In some you can see the sorrow, always feeling sad Some are always seeking, never quite satisfied As each new hope fades, it’s loneliness multiplied Some are stagnant, living passive Some are powerful, their presence massive But in the end, when all is said and done When we’re standing before God, and his only begotten Son The true depths of our hearts, is what will shine through The lesson I’ve learned: to thine own heart be true For the heart never lies, never fails, never fades It may soften, it may harden, but it will never change This is dedicated to my brother, it was written with him in mind Because I believe, a better heart would be hard to find His heart may have been pushed, to it’s maximum length, Maybe because only to God, is known his true strength Things have come his heart’s way, and surely put him to the test He has beaten, what could have beaten the best Even though people, situations or environment may change, It’s his heart that always remains the same I love his heart, he has a strong soul I hope this world, at it’s worst does not take it’s toll Although they say time will heal, nothing really will But that’s ok, as long his heart continues to feel. So Michael don’t ever forget, to your own heart be true and don’t ever forget,  I am always here, and will always love you
