The Prince and the Pomegranate Though the outer sheath requires persistence his patience is rewarded with sensations of sweet liquid fruit. He suckles each kernel of flesh as if it were a wish waiting to be granted, or a crush yearning to be teased. Ever so slowly he pilfers each chasm leaving behind only a hard empty shell which once contained fulfillment, but has emptied to his necessity. Because the sensations of delight are now but fading memories which fringe the tip of his tongue, he finds himself yet again searching for another of life's perfect desserts to tickle his fantasy and settle his wanton desire |
