THIS DAY OF HOPE

Nervous anticipation turns my stomach, where does the future lie? I'm at once again, making changes in my life the restlessness has been overwrought and I am dying to get it right this time. There is so much in the world today that stinks of blatant irony. Unfairness, cynicism all of which hangs itself like a badge of honor on my shoulder. Inside my being, in the hallow corners of my plain existence I'm screaming out in riddles that ring in tune with the chimes of hell. Manic laughter, ha, ha, ha! Rocks right through me. Today I sit here, twitching my leg with irritation, unable to be still. My mind is turning, yearning with all the possibilities. It's been a long time since I've felt a future beating with life inside me. The pulse is there, I can finally feel it! I am a new bird, ready to take flight. Sitting on the verge of a new tomorrow, this day of hope.
