SACRIFICIAL LOVE

God desires to become a part of the world in which we live, To show our life is incomplete, and He loves us in spite of our sin. We must look to Him to receive a life so rich and free, And accept the gift of everlasting life - a treasure that we win. But, man is stubborn, self-centered, and full of wretched greed. He looks to self to satisfy the world in which he lives. Yet, God loved him beyond what the world could give to man And He offers a lamb for sacrifice; redemption He willingly gives. Where did this sin come from to cause our God such grief? Paradise was the enemy's target; man's life is the enemy's goal. Laying the foundation for evil, Satan plotted his devious plan. Working through Adam and Eve to win man's body, spirit and soul. Satan thought he had won the victory, and man was doomed to die. He said, "Now man chose to sin and death is man's repose." But God thought different and blood was shed upon a tree one day. The price was paid through the Son of God, and salvation He did bestow. "My loved ones," God says to each and everyone of us. "I look at your heart and not your life so tempest-tossed. The tree of life, such as was placed in the Garden of Eden, Becomes a light showing the way home - It formed a cross.
